Yes, your hair will grow! It already looks longer than your previous posts. It won't appear to grow quickly at the beginning, because your locks are compressing as they matte together.
Your hair texture is similar to mine, and looks just like mine at 18 months. Now I'm at 3 years, and it seems to grow faster now that my locks are more settled.
Hang in there! It's more of a challenge when your hair has a loose curl pattern, but hopefully you'll think it's worth it in the end.
Now ... do you think your hair likes being called "The Beast?" LOL!

It will grow. You have very full hair so the length may not be as obvious intially. What I have heard is that after a certain point you will start gaining length very quickly, so hang in there
