    Livin wit Locs..Day 2

Cj the most beautiful black fellow in the city of vegas said he liked my hair ( i was so hype) a japanese lady told me it looks cute. Chrissy said it was absolutely beautiful. A white boy at my job said i look like Macy Gray( how i dont kno) and another one told me it looks like I got worms coming out of my head. Wat a diffrence perception makes. i am however still in love wit my hair and there is not a mirror or anything that shows a reflection that i can pass without glancing at myself. sisterlocks has made me concieted.

yeah man i got my locks done today from my wonderful consultant Lora...i didnt get the reaction that i wanted (omg ur hair is so cute. or anything of that nature...etc) instead no one is commenting taking that as a silent dislike.cause you kno if u get your hair done and people like it someone would say "hey thats cute..like your hair." but i day good stay silent cause i love my hair. and im going to from this stage to my locs are old and mature. and dont get on my dick then if you aint like em from the begging. luckily i have my bestest buddy P and my consultant for support.

    Hair Raising Questions

OKAY...so friday i went to the library and picked up two hair books. Dreads by Francesco Mastalia and Alfonse Pagano--a collection of photos of various dread heads and the meaning behind their locks. I read this book once before and ordered it off the net today, its a real good read, awesome pics. And Hair Story by Ayana D. Byrd...untangaling the roots of black hair in america.the book in which I had question for. In all the books I read including this one it always says that back in slavery times light skinned slaves with long wavy/curly/straight hair were more favorable than the slaves who had dark skin and short nappy hair. I am a mixed person...german, black, and native american...I have fair skin, green eyes and blonde NAPPY COARSE hair. I have a nephew who is very dark but has the fullest head of silky black curls. Where would we fit in???
